TED E BROOKS, 79, died September 25, 2010 at his home. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, September 29 at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch. Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, September 30 in Barton Cemetery, Byhalia, MS. Ted served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and he retired from Consolidated Freightways after 25 years as a truck driver. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan, loved restoring old cars, and enjoyed his friends at Evans Steakhouse in Horn Lake. He was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Marie Brooks. He leaves a son, Tracy Brooks of Hernando and his fiance’, Julie Hall; two sisters, Joyce Brooks and Barbara Cook, both of Gray, GA; one brother, Raymond Brooks of Milwaukee, WI; four grandchildren, Stacie Brooks, Zachery Brooks, Ryan Hall and Krista Hall.
