Teddy Joe Smith, 89, of Nesbit, MS went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2023. Mr. Smith was born on August 31, 1934 in Dresden, TN to the late Guy and Forrest Smith. He is survived by his wife, Christine Tuck Smith; son, Mark Randall Smith (Jeanie); daughter, Tracy Lynn Gallimore (Michael); grandchildren: Katherine Marie Smith Bouchon (Michael), Andrew James Smith, Robert Michael Gallimore (Kara), Sarah Michelle Gallimore, and Megan Elizabeth Gallimore; and great-grandchildren, Charles Michael Bouchon and Claire Marie Bouchon. Mr. Smith retired from MLGW after many years of dedicated service. In his free-time, he enjoyed woodworking. He made furniture when he was younger and in his later years, he made writing pens. He had a true servant’s heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. He was also a “jack of all trades” and fix most anything. He was a loving husband, father, “Papa”, “Pawpaw”, and friend. Mr. Smith was a believer in Jesus Christ and a member of Briarwood Baptist Church. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from 1-2 pm with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Southwoods. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make memorial contributions to a charity of your choice in his honor.
