Terry Wayne Thomas

Terry Wayne Thomas, 82, of Ashland, MS passed away January 20, 2026. Terry was born on December 27, 1943, in Hickory Flat, MS to the late William Roland Thomas and Annie Elizabeth Wright Stacks. He attended Byhalia High School. He worked as a truck driver for many years. He also owned Thomas Brothers Fabricators with his twin brother, Jerry. In his younger years, he enjoyed racing dirt track stock cars. He served as a volunteer firefighter for a time in Snow Lake Shores. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Paula Jean Thomas; stepfather, Claudie Stacks; and brothers: William “Billy” Thomas, Jr., Jimmy Thomas, and Jerry Thomas. He is survived by his daughter, Lynette Stewart (Stan); daughter, Saline Nelson (Tony); stepson, Greg Childers (Shelly); grandchildren, Tyler Thomas and Will Childers; brother, Major Stacks (Bernice); sister, Joyce Brady; sister-in-law, Martha “Nikki” Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him very much. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 10-11 am with a funeral service to begin at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Autumn Woods Memorial Park.
