Bill was well-known for his sometimes questionable words of wisdom, his love for Alabama football, and his incredible chili recipe.
Bill loved camping and canoeing, yelling at the great danes he liked more than most people, and watching low-budget sci-fi movies with a glass of scotch.
He leaves behind a mildly dysfunctional family that he was very proud of. He will be sorely missed and remembered by his wife, Diana Brumfield; his daughter, Britney (Brandon) Carlson; his son, Wesley Spencer; grandchildren: Joseph, Erik, Layla, Hugo, and William; two completely worthless dogs: Merle and Moose, and a swarm of fairly aggressive hummingbirds.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the BWCA.
