To the family of Will Sowles,

Will and I attended White Station high school together and we spent many great Friday nights hanging out together  cruising  Poplar Ave in a 1960  Chevrolet Bel-Air. 

I was on the golf team at. White Station with Will  who was our number 1 player. 
Will was the greatest golfer in Memphis at that time. I always wanted to emulate his swing. 

Will was fine man very generous with his time and everyone liked him very much   I think about our times together quite often.

Thanks Will for teaching me the game of golf and buying golf balls from me.  I recall the day we were walking home from school and found that seven dollars on the ground. I think you took four and gave me three but l was OK with it. I can recall watching you and your Dad hitting those golf waffle balls in your front yard. Rest well my friend.

To the Sowles family: Will was my friend for 25 plus years. From the many tournaments in  Tennessee to our time on the Champions Tour,  I will always remember how he treated people. A true gentleman. 
To  Will Golf was not a verb but a noun. I will remember him for what he was, tough competitor, honest man, loving father, loving husband and companion. I will miss him dearly, every day. What ever I am allowed to do on or off the course, Please Lord, let me do it in a way that will honor my friend. Every time I step on a course I will remember my friend.
I was not able to be in Memphis to honor him, but please know I was there in my prayers and thoughts for you all. I will continue to pray and think about you all at this time. I miss my friend.  Jerry Garrison

Catherine and Scott, so very sorry fr the loss of your father. May the Lord give you comfort during this time of grief. I did so love your mother.

I have years of fond memories spent with Will, both on and off the golf course! May you find peace and may God comfort the entire Sowles family during your time of grief. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am sad to have learned of the passing of Will. We were associated with one another over many years in the Foodservice Distribution side of his personal business, as well as, on the golf course. May God rest his soul and give you the comfort during this loss.

His friends and fellow golfers will miss him at the Rebsamen Golf Course in little Rock

Scott, your dad was a great friend of mine and I enjoyed many rounds of golf with him.  I  will miss him very much.  He left us too soon.

To Scott Sowles,

My deepest condolences for the passing of your Dad, Will. He has been a great friend for over 50 years and an inspiration to me on and off the links. I lost my Brother, Buzzie in 2000 who died at the peak of his life of the same cause; and in great physical shapejust like Will. I am at a loss for words to tell you, but can asssure You his golf buddies will really feel a void left in all of our hearts.

May God Bless your Family and Thanks for your Service to our Country. You always made you Dad so proud of what you have accomplished and he always had a gleam in his eye bragging on You.

I will never forget playing practice rounds with Will, Bob Ralston and Dean Overturf in preparation for a Monday qualifying for the PGA Senior Tour. The many dinners that myself and my wife spent with Will were priceless. He was a really good man and I will miss him greatly.
