Retired Msgt. Anthony H. Ray (Tony). A proud Veteran of the U. S. Air force. Passed away November 10, 2025 of Cancer. Son of Lorraine Ray. Born February 25, 1938. Grew up in East Lyme-Niantic, Connecticut. Tony was one of five siblings. He enlisted in the U. S, Air Force March 7, 1955 working in Supply and Logistics. He received a GED and Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. A Vietnam Veteran stationed in Bien Hoa during thr Tet Offensive. Retired from Military life June 30, 1978. Active member of the VFW, American Legion (Post 331) and the American Gl Forum (Omaha Chapter). Tony is preceded in death by his mother Lorraine, sister Prudy and brother John. Tony is survived by his sister Juanita, wife Sally Ray of 65 years, daughters Anita Gulizia (John), Christina Ray, Gina Ray, Celia Conway (Mike), son Anthony R. Ray (Jenny), 13 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Visitation will take place on Thursday November 13, 2025, 5-7 pm at West-Lawn Hillcrest Funeral Home. Rosary Service to follow from 7-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Friday Nov. 14, 2025 at 10am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church 2310 O Street, Omaha, Ne 68107. There will be a private internment.
