Charlotte Ann Scott Parker, 82, passed away on May 28th, 2019 at St. Joseph Villas in Omaha. She was cherished and adored for her friendly, outgoing and loving personality.
Born in Tell City, Indiana on December 5th, 1936, Charlotte attended Tell City High School. She earned her nursing degree in Indianapolis at Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in 1957. While raising a family, she pursued a nursing career in Pennsylvania and Nebraska hospitals, specializing in psychiatric nursing. In 1978, she married her second husband, Jack, and grew to share his love of sailing. They moved to Henderson, NV in 1990 and enjoyed retirement while making many new friends. She was widowed in October 2006. She was an avid supporter of the Arts and volunteered with many organizations including the Nevada Symphony Orchestra Guild, Omaha Symphony Guild and Ute Halle Girls Village. She enjoyed bridge, ballet, classical music, interior decorating, travel, nursing school reunions, and socializing.
Charlotte was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and friend to many. She is survived by her children: Scott (Amy) Robinson of Iola, TX; Matt Robinson of Omaha, NE; Aaron (Dusica) Robinson of Omaha, NE; Starr Robinson (Jo Cohen) of Glenview, IL; Roxanne Robinson of Paris, France and Queens, New York; her step-children: Patrick (Suzie) Parker of Kansas City, MO; Gail (Larry) Cahill of Omaha, NE; step-daughter in law Janice Parker of Plymouth, MN, and her brother Burke Scott of Newburg, IN. She was blessed with six grandchildren: Jesse (Tara) Hunt, Ashley Robinson, James Robinson (Katie McCabe), Quentin Robinson, Manon Escriout, and Théo Escriout and two great-grandchildren Kristina and Brianna Hunt, nine step-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 28 years, John "Jack" Parker, parents Irvin and Laura Scott; siblings Merrill, Mary Louise, Ross, Don, Dale and David, and step-children Annette, Timothy, and Daniel Parker and Laurie Mattic. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the kind staff of St. Joseph Villas for their compassionate care of Charlotte.
Her life will be celebrated Thursday, August 8th, from 9 AM to 1 PM, at Crosby-Burkett Swanson Golden Funeral Home, 11902 West Center Road in Omaha. A remembrance ceremony will be held at 11 AM.
