heavenly homecoming in Jesus’ arms on February 12, 2023. Esther was Daddy Jim and Mommy Julie’s miracle baby since before birth, and she continues to be their miracle baby. She was tiny but mighty and the bravest and toughest DIPG warrior, ultimately receiving her healing miracle in Heaven. Esther still loves doing ballet and tap dance, as well as arts and crafts, taking care of babies, and having tea parties - now all with the angels! Esther loves entertaining others with her silly faces, energetic personality, and beautiful dance moves, and she’s certainly entertaining and teaching others in Heaven how the joy of the Lord is her strength. "Esther" means "Star" and she is shining brightly with love and joy now more than ever. Esther was young but knew she wanted to get married and have 89 children someday. She’s certain to find her babies in Heaven and help Jesus and the angels take care of them. Most importantly, Esther wants all of us to always "Try your best" and let God do the rest.
Esther, as you all know, had a unique gift from God to be able to touch your heart (and wrap it around your little finger) at first sight. Her silly faces, unbelievable sayings, grownup conversations, and graceful dance moves charmed us all, and we will all miss Esther until we see her again. We are comforted in knowing that Jesus greeted Esther saying that “You did try your best and I’m so very proud of you.” Now Esther is teaching Jesus how to make the “Moana” face and training all the animals in Heaven because she is THE Boss Lady.
Esther was blessed to be born into a loving and supportive family, who supported Esther throughout her special life. Each member of Esther’s family did all they could to help Esther win her battle against DIPG, but perhaps none so more than her adoring mother who never left Esther’s side. Esther never had to face her trials alone, including the moment of her peaceful ascendency into Heaven being cradled in her mother’s loving arms at her earthly home surrounded by her family. Esther’s miraculous life and legacy was full of more passion and adventure than some can hope for in decades more of life than she had, and her miraculous story will continue to be told and used to help other kids like her “with ports.” Esther will continue to be loved and adored by her family and friends until we meet again someday. By God’s grace, this isn’t “goodbye” - this is “goodnight” and “see you later.”
