I first met Gerry in July of1977.  I was a new candidate at Central Station.  He was very kind to a newbie.  My memory of Gerry will always be of him sitting in the sun of the north hallway reading a Louie LaMoor book.  He was a good person and I am sorry for your loss.

Ray and I have been so glad that we had time to spend with Uncle Jerry this last year. 
 He really enjoyed joking about being a "cattleman" when the boys gave him a heifer for his 90th birthday!  He kept her picture on his refrigerator -- so cute!  
  There were all the times you came down to Darby's to visit with Dad...the "good old days"!  
Uncle Jerry, you will be so missed!   
Words cannot express how much I enjoyed our visits; they were gifts from God.  Rest in peace, dear Uncle!

I've always been close with my aunts and uncles and spent many hours in their kitchens and homes talking with them and asking a lot of questions. Uncle Jerry was special. I enjoyed talking with him and learned a lot and gained a lot of insight from his wisdom. He was down to earth and told it like it was.  Along with my Uncle Dick; Uncle Jerry was an excellent male role model for me. He helped shape me into what I am today. He was the one that noticed when I was an infant/toddler that I was dragging my leg. It was during the time of the polio epidemic and he urged him mom, my grandma (Alice) Landon, to get me to the hospital. I vaguely remember being there and I'm glad he was there to notice what was going on. If you want to know the kind of man he was, you can see it in all of his boys. Each has their positive traits and put together you get a total picture of  who my Uncle Jerry was. I'm going to miss him deeply; but, I know he is free of pain and reunited with Aunt Margaret, his mom and dad, and two brothers. I love you Uncle Jerry.
