Freeman, Harry McGurk Feb 24, 1927 - Sep 27, 2016 Preceded in death by parents Ronald and Ethel Freeman. Survived by wife Betty Freeman; daughters, Chris Freeman, Cyndy Freeman Kinnard, and son Mike Freeman; grandchildren: Tara Alemany, Rachel Alemany Dickenson, Megan Kinnard Henninger, Ashley Kinnard, Danielle and Benji Freeman; great-grandchildren: Eliza and Tim Alemany, Elise Henninger; and a brother Ron Freeman. Harry graduated from North High and received a degree in Civil Engineering from UNL. The son of home builder Ronald Freeman, Harry started working for Foster Smatana Construction after college followed by Lueder Construction. Later he owned Freeman Construction Company for over twenty five years doing commercial building and renovation. A devoted husband and father he would have celebrated his 69th wedding anniversary next month. Harry worked his way through college playing the saxophone and clarinet in area big bands, was a member of Golden K (Kiwanis) and the Over the Hill Gang that included several prominent Omaha members.
