Helen was a smart, strong, independent, generous and caring women. Most of her career she worked in HR and retired from the State of Nebraska. Aside from her career Helen was an amazing grandmother, mother, wife, sister and aunt. Helen touched many lives and will be missed.
Preceded in death by son, John Hanes; nieces, Tammy (Dutcher) Stewart and MaryAnn Agersea; and sister, Mary Margaret (Branigan) Agersea.
Survived by devoted and loving husband Charles D. Palm; children, Donald D. Hanes, Mike Palm (Tammy), Dixie Miller (Doug), Angie Hanes, Shirley Fisher (Chris); sisters, Genevieve Branigan and Patty (Branigan) Dutcher; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many others.
A visitation for Helen will be held Friday, November 19, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106. A funeral service will occur Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home.
