Preceded in death by ex-wives Patricia A (Rock) Goss and Linda L (Grap) Goss, parents Con F Goss and Ida Victoria (Welstead) Goss. Brother Con F Goss, Sisters Vickie Ruth Goss, Lois M Swails, Naomi “Jo” Brayshaw, Marilyn Jenkins and Neva Hays, daughter Vikki G Otero and son Patrick A Goss.
Survived by his children James L Goss (Omaha, NE), Shari L and Tim Costello (Port Angeles, WA), Steven Otero (Vikki)(Omaha, NE), Con F Goss (Lincoln, NE), Nikki J and Paul Patrick (Papillion, NE), Lisa Crase (Albany, KY), 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Honorably discharged USAF, worked alongside his father and later took over Compressor Repair Service (Omaha, NE). He retired Civil Service as Liquid Fuels Maintenance Foreman at Offutt AFB, continued liquid fuels contract work in the US and internationally in his retirement.
He enjoyed golfing, bowling, shooting pool, DIY projects (if you know, you know!) and spending time with his loved ones.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on March 27, 2026, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 1312 South 45th Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68106.
James will be laid to rest at Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park.
