Marie is survived by son, James Hebert, daughter Shawn Critchell, son Kenneth Hentschel, goddaughter Sarah Warren , several grandchildren , other family and many friends.
Marie is preceded in death by her father Edgar Alford, mother Olive Alford and brother Dennis Alford.
Marie was born February 9th 1945 in Los Angeles, California. Her family moved to southeastern Texas while she was still a baby, where she was raised. She lived the majority of her adult life in north Texas before developing dementia, when she moved to Nebraska with her son Kenny and daughter in law Kim. She lived her life with a light that could shine through the densest fog, made the toughest of decisions for the betterment of her children, never met a stranger and always had the kindest of hearts. She retired as a nurse in Denison, Texas. She volunteered for those in need and could always see the good in everyone. Her smile was infectious, her laughter was like music, her kindness was magical, and her love was pure.
She will be remembered forever in the hearts of everyone that had the privilege to know her.
A memorial service for Jeri will be held Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home & Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106. Luncheon at 1pm at the Papillon Eagles 102 N. Washington St (84th St) Papillon, Ne 68046.
