Mary Alice Boje grew up in Carroll, Iowa where she graduated high school and later received her nursing degree from St. Anthony's School of Nursing. She later married her high school sweetheart, John "Jack" Boje. They lived briefly in Chicago where Jack was stationed while in the Army. They later moved to Omaha where Mary worked at Bergan Mercy in the newborn nursery. She continued her 20 year nursing career at several other community hospitals before retiring in the eighties to care for her family and husband. During her life she was able to travel extensively in the U.S and abroad, including Europe and the Middle East. She spent her last remaining days in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband of almost 60 years, Jack; siblings, Henry Daniel, Paul Daniel, Gene Daniel, James Daniel, and Connie Daniel. She is survived by her children, Constance (Anthony) Montoya, Eileen (Ron) Broich, and John (Maria) Boje; sister, Dorothy Sikora; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and many other friends and relatives.
