Muriel George (née Pisz), age 79, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Born on December 17, 1946, in Augsburg, Germany, Muriel was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life touched many and whose memory will be cherished forever.
Muriel was the daughter of Edward and Sophie Pisz and grew up with her sisters Edwina Pisz Ross and Marianne Thibeault. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Marianne. Throughout her life, Muriel remained close to her family and held dear the bonds that shaped her journey.
She was united in marriage to Nicholas James George Jr., CLU, with whom she shared a loving life until his passing. Together they raised four children: Nicholas J. George III, Edward George, J Scott George, and Jennifer George. Muriel’s devotion to her family was unwavering. Though she endured the heartbreaking loss of her daughter Jennifer, she continued to nurture and support those around her with strength and grace.
Muriel is survived by her sons Nicholas J. George III, Edward George, and J Scott George; daughters-in-law Nicole Christine George and Tara Dougherty; grandchildren Austin, Nicholas, Ashley, Delaney, Lucy, Harrison, Madalynne, Jordan, and Zach; great-grandchildren Layla, Mila, Bella, and Zoey; and her sister Edwina Pisz Ross. Her legacy lives on through each of them.
Faith played a central role in Muriel’s life. She was baptized and accepted God’s only son, Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior—a foundation that guided her actions and brought comfort throughout her years.
Muriel found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved spending time with friends and family—moments filled with laughter and warmth that became treasured memories for all who knew her. She enjoyed bowling with friends, exploring new places through travel, and tending to her garden with care.
Her presence brought light into every room she entered. As a mother and grandmother who gave selflessly of herself to those she loved most deeply—and as a friend whose kindness left lasting impressions—Muriel’s impact will not be forgotten.
“Your life was a blessing; your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.”
May Muriel’s memory bring comfort to all who knew her. A Visitation will be held on January 5, 2026, from 05:00 PM to 07:00 PM at Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park 5701 Center Street. Memorial Service 01/06/2026, 11:00 am, burial to follow.
