Norma Caroline Jourdan was born to Arnold & Erna Jourdan on August 18, 1943 in Omaha, NE. She was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church on September 5, 1943 and renewed her baptismal vows through the rite of Confirmation on April 14, 1957. She attended Zion Lutheran School K thru 8th grade. She attended South High School and graduated in June of 1961.
After graduation, she worked at Boys Town in the office doing clerical work. In the mid 70's she changed careers and became an EEG technician at Bergan Mercy Hospital and worked there until her retirement. Norma taught preschool Sunday school at Zion for many years. When Zion closed, her new church home became First Lutheran in Papillion, NE.
Norma's favorite holiday was Christmas and she enjoyed every "Black Friday" decorating the house for the holidays. She loved to do holiday baking. Her homemade caramels, peanut brittle, and peanut butter balls were family favorites, but the Haystacks were hands down the ultimate favorite. Norma was an avid Husker fan. She was more entertaining to watch and listen to than the games!!!!
Norma went to her heavenly home on August 17, 2025 just hours before her 82nd birthday. She was preceded in death by parents, Arnold and Erna; and siblings, Delores, Marvin, Don, Ken, and Eileen.
She is survived by brothers, Allen Jourdan, Tom (Mary) Jourdan, and Darrell (Cathy) Jourdan; sister, Debbie (Bruce) Ward; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephew. She so loved when "the kids" would come visit.
