Rebecca was born November 18, 1960 to Billy and Lucille Woodyard in Des Moines, Iowa. She was the youngest and had 5 older brothers. She grew up in the Des Moines area and went to college at Iowa State University where she met her future husband Bix Hopewell. Rebecca was truly loved by everybody and had many, many different interests and talents. What she loved the most in the world was being a mom and a grandma. She loved all of her nieces, nephews, and all of her sons’ friends throughout her time here. Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Stephen and David Woodyard and sister-in law Kathryn Woodyard. She is survived by sons, Adam and Alex Hopewell of Omaha, NE, her daughter in law LeyLoni Hopewell, her grandson Axl Hopewell and her brothers Mike, Jim, and Bill.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on December 23, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, located at 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska, 68106.
Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will take place at the same location, beginning at 5:00 pm.
