Rita was born on the farm near Bellwood, Nebraska, on January 29, 1932, to Nicholas and Elizabeth Puetz. Rita was a loving mother, homemaker, excellent cook and medical assistant to Dr. Charles McMinn.
Rita married Jerry Meysenburg on August 18, 1952. The next 24 years, Rita was an Air Force wife and traveled the US and Europe with her family. Her love for God was strong, and she was very active in the Catholic Church. She faithfully attended St. Vincent De Paul where she also volunteered.
Rita was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Jerry and her daughter Shelly Lewis. She is survived by her daughters Sue Miller (John) Sunrise Beach, MO, Sheri Cohagan (Mick) Lincoln, NE and Sandy Love, Logan IA. Rita has six grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and many friends.
The Rosary will be held Thursday February 20th at 9:15am and funeral 10:30 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Omaha. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent De Paul.
