

Robert K.J. Podany, age 94, of Osage Beach, Missouri passed away on June 20, 2025, at Arrowhead Senior Living. He was born on August 8, 1930, in Schuyler, Nebraska; a son of Joseph and Mary (Karel) Podany.
Robert was united in marriage to the love of his life, Dorothy Kmoch on November 17, 1956. They shared 67 wonderful years together at the time of her passing.
Robert served his country proudly in the United State Army. He served from 1952 - 1954 as a Sargent in the Korean War.
Robert was a hard-working man and very caring. In his free time, you would find him outside, doing yard work, gardening and riding his lawn mower. Robert loved polka music and dancing. He even enjoyed playing the accordion up into his 90’s. His most treasured time was spent with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Robert was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Robert is survived by his daughter Jackie Koperski and husband Bob of Osage Beach, Missouri; his son Robert Podany Jr. of Sunrise Beach, Missouri; his four grandchildren Jillian, Jenna, Dana, and Dawson; his four great-grandchildren Gabriela, Jacob, Jaxon, and Zaden; and many other relatives and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Mary Podany; his wife Dorothy Podany, June 20, 2024; his son Jeff Podany; his brothers Jim and Joe Podany; his sister Blanche Podany and husband Jerry.
Friends will be received from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Home-Camdenton.
Friends will be received from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home in Omaha, Nebraska. Rosary Service will be held at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home in Omaha, Nebraska. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Omaha, Nebraska.
Inurnment will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 1:30pm at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home and Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska with Full Military Honors.
