Omaha. Died Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. She was born January 24, 1937 in Columbus, NE to Garrett and Mary Gerrard of Schuyler, NE. She attended school in Schuyler, graduating in 1955. She worked at Mutual of Omaha after graduating, until her marriage to Allan Vrba in 1958. She was a devoted mother and homemaker most of her life in Omaha and three years in Salt Lake City from 1973 to 1976. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Marlene Taylor. She is survived by her husband, Allan; two children, Jeff Vrba and Julie Hesson, Julie's husband, Calvin, and one granddaughter, Hannah Hesson; two sisters, Bonnie Bolton and Lois Penwell, all of Omaha; and one brother, Leroy Gerrard of Stromsburg, NE; nieces and nephews.
VISITATION Wednesday from 6-8pm at Crosby Colonial Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICE Thursday 11am at Faith Westwood United Methodist Church, 4814 Oaks Lane, Omaha. GRAVESIDE SERVICE Friday 11am at Schuyler Cemetery, Schuyler, Nebraska.
