Stefaniya Butsyak, 89, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was a woman of remarkable strength, generosity, and resilience — someone who dedicated her life to caring for others and keeping the people around her moving forward.
Stefaniya was the devoted mother of her son, Andrey, and the late Dana, whom she carried in her heart throughout her life. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Oleg, the late Maxim, Marko, Jeremy, and Zach. Her family was her greatest joy, and she poured her energy, time, and boundless love into every one of them.
A gifted cook and baker, Stefaniya was known for her delicious meals and especially her beloved Napoleon Cake, which became a treasured family tradition. She also loved following politics and staying engaged with the world around her, always curious and always informed.
Stefaniya believed in the value of hard work and keeping busy. Though yet deeply compassionate, she embodied true selflessness. She had a unique ability to sense when others needed support, offering help before anyone asked. Whether through a warm meal, a gentle word, or financial support she never hesitated to give, Stefaniya lived her life in service to others. She never worried about what she had — only about what she could give.
Her legacy is one of unwavering kindness, strength, and generosity. She will be remembered not only for the many ways she cared for her family and community, but for the example she set: to live with open hands and an open heart.
Stefaniya will be profoundly missed and forever loved.
A Funeral Service will be held at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 12 pm, with Visitation starting at 11 am, and Interment to follow.
