Anna Elizabeth Moore

She was born December 21, 1925 in the Town of Middletown, NY the daughter of the late Ray and Nora (Ingles) Faulkner.

On September 2, 1984, Anna married Warren Moore, Jr. Warren predeceased her May 1991.

For 20 plus years, Anna worked at Mayes Mill Veneer Plant in Fleischmanns. After the mill closed, Anna did some traveling and in 1978 she settled in Delhi. She worked at the Delaware County Infirmary in the housekeeping and laundry department for 12 years until her retirement. In her retirement she worked part-time at O’Connor Hospital in the kitchen.

Anna loved puzzles, playing BINGO, reading, listening to country music and traveling. She was a very proud Marine mom and enjoyed baking cookies to send to her son, Billy McAdams. But most of all, Anna loved helping raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Anna is survived by her children, Bonnie (Jim, Sr.) Hamm of East Meredith, Sharon (Mike) Becker of Tannersville, Patty (Gene) Kelly of Fleischmanns and Mike (Sandy) McAdams of Andes; son-in-law, Vaughn Horth of Oneonta; 20 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren; 10 great- great grandchildren; brothers, Ray (Alice) Faulkner of Morris and Douglas (Marie) Faulkner of Philadelphia, PA; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her children, Anna Soules, William McAdams and Katherine Horth; grandchildren, Kenny Horth and Misty Holling; siblings, Roderick Faulkner, Dorothy Wright, Waneta Hooks and Jim Faulkner.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00 pm with the Reverend Judith A. Thistle Chaplain at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital officiating. Memorial donations in Anna’s name may be made to either the A.O. Fox Nursing Home, 1 Norton Ave, Oneonta, New York 13820 or to Catskill Area Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc., 1 Birchwood Drive, Oneonta, New York 13820.
