Beverly M. (O'Kelly) Thomson

Beverly was born on June 18, 1927 in Oneonta, NY, the daughter of James P. and Marguerite (Gilbert) O'Kelly.

She graduated from Oneonta High School in 1945 and was immediately hired by the US Government and served in the Officers Branch of the War Department. She was stationed at the Pentagon in Washington DC. Later, she was an accountant at Bank of Utica and graduated from nursing school. She retired as an ER Nurse and AO Fox Hospital in Oneonta.

Beverly was an avid golfer, showed and rode horses, drove Roadster Ponies, and enjoyed her Harley Davidson motorcycle.

She is survived by one daughter; three sons; eight grandchildren; and many great and great-great grandchildren; as well as all her motorcycle family and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents; three brothers; her eight year old granddaughter, Carrie E. Wahl (1996); her eldest son, Raymond J. Cameron (2017); and her husband, Richard S. Thomson, Sr (2016).

A graveside service will take place at 12 PM on Saturday, June 21, 2025 in Oneonta Plains Cemetery, Oneida Street, Oneonta, New York.

Arrangements are by the Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home of Oneonta.
