Brian D. DeSilva

He was born October 08, 1961 in Margaretville the son of Geral and Millicent (Becker) DeSilva.

Brian attended Oneonta High School and then received his GED.

On November 05, 1994, Brian married Phyllis Henderson in Schenevus. Together they celebrated 30 years of marriage.

Brian was an outdoorsman and loved to go fishing, camping and just be outdoors. He was a very good artist, painting with oils and watercolors and drawing with pencils. When he wasn’t painting or drawing you could find him reading the Bible. But what brought him the greatest joy was spending time with his family.

He always looked forward to family get togethers.

Brian is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis DeSilva; three daughters, Kayla DeSilva, Felisa DeSilva and her husband, Stephan Burgher and Rochel DeSilva; three grandchildren, Neptune, Finnley and Rowan Burgher; two sisters, Cheryl DeSilva and Teresa Dobler; two half-sisters, Tracie DeSilva and Tricia DeSilva; one brother, Joseph DeSilva; as well as many nieces and nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Mark DeSilva; mother and stepfather, Millicent and Richard Bryant; and his father, Gerald DeSilva.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 11:00 am in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta with the Rev. Steven Estes officiating.
