David Chin On

David Chin On, of Springbrook, Morris residence, passed away peacefully on February 18, at age 58. He was born in Hollis, Long Island, NY, the youngest of five children and much beloved son of the late Henry and Flora Thom On. David, who was born with Down Syndrome, lived a full and happy life, loving his family and Springbrook friends, relishing coffee and chocolate, enjoying music, bowling and going to church. He was a long-time and loved resident of the Springbrook Chellis Nichols and Morris residences, beginning in 1984. He is predeceased by his eldest sister Dr. Florence On, and is survived by his brother Thomas On and wife Cora of Pemberton, NJ; and sisters Janet Anderson and husband Ted of Otego NY and Grace On and husband David Fitzgerald of Arlington MA; and eight nieces and nephews, Stacie (Nathan) Lee, Greg (Faith) Anderson, Lesley Anderson, Greg (Leslie) On, Matthew Fitzgerald, Thomas Fitzgerald, Michael Fitzgerald, and Kenneth On, who were all blessed by knowing him. Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 from 3:30 to 4:00 PM in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta. A memorial service will immediately follow at 4:00 PM.
