Diana J Mathewson

She was born June 09, 1942 in Oneonta the daughter of the late Woodrow and Beatrice (Dibble) Vaughan.

Diana graduated from Oneonta High School the class of 1961.

On May 6, 1962, Diana married Peter R. Mathewson in Oneonta.

Diana worked in the kitchen at Oneonta Nursing Home from 1979 to 1987.

She loved her cars and dogs.

Diana is survived by her loving husband, Peter R. Mathewson; two sons, Peter (Mary Jane) Mathewson, Jr. and Michael (Jessica) Mathewson; three grandchildren, Joshua (Monica) Mathewson, Jonathan Mathewson and Christina (Ian) Paddock; three great grandchildren, Maverick McConnell, Elijah Paddock and Natalie Paddock; one brother, Jim Vaughan; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Brian Mathewson and brother, Hugh Vaughan.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at the West Oneonta Baptist Church from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 am with the Rev. Joe Galimberti officiating. Burial will be in the spring in the Oneonta Plains Cemetery.
