Dianne Louise Potter

Dianne L. Potter, 74, of Schenevus, NY, passed away December 29, 2023 at home. She was born in Oneonta, NY, and attended school in Laurens. She was formerly employed at the Oneonta Dress Factory, and then spent her career in maintenance at Hartwick College until her retirement.

An avid reader, Dianne enjoyed mysteries, thrillers, and word puzzles. She loved NASCAR races, rooting for her hero, Jeff Gordon. An expert in knitting and crocheting, she made and gave away countless blankets, scarves, and hats. She formerly attended Main Street Baptist Church and Word of Faith Church, having many friends in each.

Dianne is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Larry and Bonnie Potter, nieces Melissa and Josh Martin (Addison and Marcus) and Katrina Potter (Lily), an uncle, Phil Adee, and many relatives. She was pre-deceased by her parents, George and Virginia Potter, and sisters Marcia and Deborah.

Her favorite book was the Bible, particularly the Psalms, and her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord gave her much comfort and hope in the hard times she faced. Dianne is now at peace in her new home in heaven.

Graveside services will be held in the spring. Donations in memory of Dianne can be made to the Schenevus-Maryland Fire Department.
