She was born March 1, 1949 in Ilion, NY the daughter of the late Robert Rood, Sr. and Florence (Mykel) Rood.
She is survived by two sons, Roy Roberts of Owego and David and Amber Preston of Oswego; one granddaughter, Adeline Preston; four sisters, four brothers and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy Roberts; one sister and one brother.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2012 in the Glenwood Cemetery, Oneonta at 1:00 PM.
