Elizabeth A. Schlee

Elizabeth (Betty) A. Schlee of Laurens passed away February 10, 2019 at the age of 76 after a brief illness. She was born in Oneonta, NY on January 21, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Wilma Schlee.

Betty graduated from Laurens Central School and worked at Wilber National Bank for over 30 years rising to the position of Senior Vice President before her well-deserved retirement. She enjoyed baking for family and friends, and was especially known for her blueberry muffins and oatmeal raisin cookies. Betty was an avid Syracuse University basketball fan. She also enjoyed occasional trips to Las Vegas and Atlantic City where she tried her hand (often successfully) at the slot machines.

Betty is survived by her brother Robert (Doris) Schlee, her sister Barbara (John) Lisk, her sister-in-law Imogene Schlee, and her beloved nieces Lori (Brian) DeLola, Dena Schlee, Juli (David) Hepner , Amy (Wayne) Allen, Josie (Brian) Dahmer, and Melissa Lisk, as well as many great nieces and nephews whom she cherished.

She was predeceased by her brother Richard Schlee and niece Grace Pooley Lisk.
