John "Jack" E Snyder

He was born September 08, 1941 in Cortland, NY the son of the late William A. and Ethel (Trumble) Snyder.

Jack graduated from Sidney High School. Following graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and proudly served his country.

In 1984 Jack married Anna Marie Bryden.

Jack was a NYS Trooper serving Troop C out of Oneonta for 20 years until his retirement. Following his retirement he became the Director of OPT and most recently he was a part time driver for OPT.

Jack is survived by his loving family, wife Anna M. Snyder; daughters, Kerry Ramirez, Deborah Dodd and Christine and Sean O'Sullivan; grandchildren Karolina and Olivia Ramirez, Aidan Dodd, Lauren and Pete Symochko, and Parker and Jillian Timmerman; and 1st wife Linda McPhail as well as several nieces and nephews sisters and brother in-laws.

He was predeceased by his parents, siblings Shirley Jones, William Snyder, twins Robert and Dick Snyder.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta. A celebration of Jack’s life will immediately follow with the Rev. Stephen D. Fournier officiating.
