John W. Truscott

He was born March 12, 1941 in Oneonta the son of the late Donald W. and Dorothy J. (White) Truscott.

John graduated from Delaware Academy and then the Albany Business College.

A lifelong area resident, John lived in Delhi for 41 year and then moved to Otego where he and Betty resided for 18 years before moving to the Plains. For 38 ½ years he was a banker at Delaware National Bank in Delhi.

On October 6, 1962, John married Elizabeth A. Veen at St. Peter’s Church, Delhi.

He is a member of the Unadilla First Presbyterian Church.

John is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Elizabeth A. Truscott, Oneonta; children, Michelle and Timothy Hebbard, Franklin and Todd Truscott, Fort Garland, CO; three grandchildren, Jessica E. and Tyler Crosby, Chelsea A. Inglis and Christopher J. Kuntz; one sister, Jane and Tom Burgin, Delhi; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 in the Unadilla First Presbyterian Church, 156 Main Street, Unadilla from 11:00 am to 12:00 PM. A memorial service will immediately follow at 12:00PM. Burial will be at a later date in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Meridale.
