Joseph Frank Chesko Jr.

Joey was the son of Susie Debra VanSteenburg Huestis of Otego.

He was a cherished father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many who loved him dearly.

Joey was born August 10, 1972. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and a great cook which was his passion. He loved spending time in the wilderness.

He was predeceased by his mother, Susie D. Huestis; his uncle, Wayne VanSteenburg and both his grandmothers and grandfathers. Joey is survived by his loving daughter, Brittany Thompson of Sidney; his step-father, Robert J. Huestis of Otego; brother, Robert D. Huestis of Norwich; sister, Kristy Huestis of Unadilla; aunt, Valerie Braun of Otego; uncle and best friend, Billy VanSteenburg of Otego; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Joey was a kind gentle soul who touched many lives and will be remembered with such grace.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta from 1:00 to 2:00PM. Memorial services will immediately follow at 2:00PM. Memorial donations may be made in c/o Robert J. Huestis, 108 Forrest Way, Otego, New York 13825.
