

He was born October 31, 1931 in Oneonta to Stanley and Betty (Ferguson) Fish.
Marshall proudly served his country in the United States AirForce from 1949-1953 when he was honorably discharged.
He worked many years for NYS starting as an elevator operator at Marcy Hospital, moved to the NYS Thruway Authority as a toll attendant until 1968 when he started his career with SUNY Oneonta as a campus security officer. Marshall also worked for Ottawa newspaper (Daily Star) delivering newspapers via motor route. He retired from the state in 1986. Marshall then enjoyed many casino and bingo trips with his wife enjoying his retirement.
Marshall is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Fish of Mount Upton; daughter, Barbara (James) Murwin of Mount Upton; son, Marshall N. Fish, Jr. of Morris; son, James Carlberg of Auburn; brother, Paul (Lisa) Fish of Lakeland, FL. He is loved by many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Betty Fish; his son, Renae Carlberg; and his brothers, Stanley and Doug Fish.
In honor of Marshall’s wishes there will be no funeral services and the family will have a private burial at Oneonta Plains at a later date.
