
Richard was born on August 19, 1960 in Stamford, CT, a son of the late Lucinda Henderson. He was a graduate of Charlotte Valley Central School in 1978.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, later transferring to the US Navy, and received an honorable discharge in 1983. Prior to his passing, Richard was employed at Corning in Oneonta, NY as a union representative.
Richard was an avid photographer and loved taking pictures in his spare time.
He is survived by his lifetime friend, Doug Hulbert of Laurens; his brother, Michael (Elvis Rosales) Henderson of Milwaukee, WI; his uncle, John Henry (LeeAnne) Glasgow of South Carolina; his aunt, Nancy Fay Subert of South Carolina, and his three cousins, Jacklyn Robinson, Stella Glasgow and Lynn Glasgow, all of South Carolina. Richard is also survived by his many friends and many, many co-workers.
A Celebration of Richard’s Life will be held from 5pm to 8pm on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Laurens VFW Post #1417, 314 Ellis Road, Laurens, NY 13796. Everyone who knew Richard is welcome to attend, casual attire only is requested.
