Born in Schenectady on March 1, 1930, Bob grew up in Schenevus. He was the son of the late Arthur D. and Ethel (Chatrow) Norton.
Bob was employed at many jobs during his life, but most enjoyed being in the woods with his chain saw. He enjoyed gardening and was a voracious reader. He was known for his upbeat attitude and ready smile.
He is survived by his brother Richard E. Norton, of Port Henry, NY. He is survived by his sons Michael A. and Patrick A. Norton. Also by grandchildren Sarah B., Robert I., Kyle P, and Cody M.
Norton.
He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sisters Bernice Jones, and June Burby.
