Ronald Marino

Ron was born on September 21, 1932 in Oneonta, the son of the late Frank and Jennie (Rosetta) Marino. He married Elizabeth Oblinski on December 7, 1957 at St. Mary’s Church in Oneonta.

Ron worked as a groundskeeper at SUNY, Oneonta until his retirement in 1987. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church.

Ron is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elizabeth Marino of Oneonta; his children, Joseph Marino and Linda Beebe of Norwich, CT, Bernadette Evans and Ted Smith of Oneonta, Ronald Marino, Jr. of Jefferson and seven brothers and sisters-in-law.

He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Tyler Evans and Leah Okner of San Diego, CA, Sgt. Brendan Evans and his wife, Alyssa Evans and great granddaughter, Brooklyn Grace Evans of Okinawa, Japan, Lindsay Marino of New York City, Landon Marino of Waterford, CT and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents and seven brothers and sisters.

Ron’s wishes were that there are no calling hours or services.
