He was born March 24, 1944 in Walton the son of the late Judd C. and Nora M. (Barringer) Archer.
Russ is survived by his wife, Patricia A. (Robbins) Archer; four children, KimAne Petrillose, Christine Gray, Russell “Rusty” (Jennifer) Archer, Jr. and Lorraine Archer; two step sons, Blaine Jennings and Scott Jennings; step daughter-in-law, Pam Jennings; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters, Paula Hughson and Nancy Bishop; two sisters-in-law, Debra (Jack) Blanchard and Sherry Asquith; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Chloe.
A graveside memorial service will be held in the spring in the West Oneonta Cemetery.
