

She was born October 21, 1927 in Gelatt, PA the daughter of the late Harley F. and Katie (Lowe) Williams.
Sally was the next youngest of nine children.
After high school, she married George Tyler and were married for 54 years until George’s death in 2000.
Sally retired from Prudential Insurance Company after 34 years and then helped George with the running of Clarks Color Center on Chestnut Street until they both retired.
She was very active in the 1st Presbyterian Church including a ruling elder for many years, Fox Hospital Auxiliary, the Lords Table and P.E.O.
She enjoyed reading, taking CCAL classes, quilting, spending time with her family and meeting with her Friday Coffee girls. Sally and George had many traveling adventures, she had many fond memories of trips made with him, family and friends.
Sally was predeceased by her husband George, five brothers, Walter, Frederick (Hilda), Wray, Wayne (Ruth) and Richard; three sisters, Anna (Floyd) Truax, Frances (Carlyle) Frantz and Winifred (James)Soden; sister-in-law, Florence (Bill) Eaton; and two infant children, Kathleen Ann and Kenneth Wayne.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda T. Davis; grandchildren, Jennifer L. Davis and Geoffery M. Davis; great grandson, Lucas E. Davis; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. A celebration of Sally’s life will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the 1st Presbyterian Church, 296 Main Street, Oneonta with Rev. Mark Montfort officiating with the option to watch via online streaming.
A private burial will be at the East Meredith Cemetery.
