Valerie P. Wagner

She was born on November 9, 1962 in Amityville, New York, the daughter of Lawrence and Barbara (Williams) Wagner.

Val worked for many years as a Records Retention Clerk at City Hall in Oneonta.

Val’s greatest joys in life were her grandchildren and her animals. She loved spending time with the grandchildren, encouraging them to be as wild as possible. She rescued countless animals, even those who maybe didn’t need rescuing.

She is survived by her daughters Tabetha (Paul) Cosgrove and Victoria Bonker, along with her beloved grandchildren Michael, Thomas, Robert, and Hazel Pearl, and her sister-in-law, Lori Wagner, and niece, Becca Wagner.

She was predeceased by her husband, Michael Bonker, her brother, Floyd, and her parents, Barbara and Lawrence.

Friends are invited to greet the family on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 5 to 7 PM at the Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home, 14 Grand Street, Oneonta, New York 13820.
