Butch was born on July 17, 1945 in Derby, Connecticut, a son of the late Raymond and Iva (Bryant) Hyatt. On February 24, 1975 Butch and Evanne Wood were married in Carmel, New York.
Butch was a hard working man for most all of his life. He was very handy around the house, so much so that he and Anne never had to call a repairman. He was also a great mechanic and had a passion for older cars. When not working or tinkering with projects, Butch enjoyed going hunting and loved to listen to country music.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Anne Hyatt; his four children, James (Barbara) Hyatt, Bill “Chugger” Bresee, Kassandra Frank and Bill Rood, and Kelly (Mark Frank) Hyatt; and his five grandchildren, Michael Spock, Olivia Hyatt, Michaela Frank, Abigail Rood, and Sheila Frank. Butch is also survived by several siblings and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service for Butch will be held at 11am on Friday, June 24, 2016 at the Cook Cemetery, State Hwy 23 in West Oneonta where he will be laid to rest.
