
He was born February 6, 1947 in Oneonta the son of William M. and Audrey (Bauman) Naatz.
Rick served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, and was discharged as a Sergeant.
He worked construction most of his life, and “logged it” with his brother, Steve.
He was a gun enthusiast and loved shooting trap “Buddy Shoot,” as well as shooting pistols, rifles, and shotguns. He enjoyed reloading bullets and many of his friends harvested elk, deer, and bear with his reloads.
He is survived by his son, Justin T. Naatz; sister, Pamela Naatz; brothers Kevin and Steven Naatz; a nephew, Ryan Naatz; a niece, Tasha Naatz; his cat, Willow; friends, Laura and Kent Hansel; cousins, JoAnn LaMonica and Carol Bagnardi; his aunt and her husband, June and Bob VanBuren; and Steven’s friend, Patty Carimando.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Julie Naatz.
It was Rick’s request that there would be no formal funeral service or calling hours.
