

Al is survived by his wife, Marvel Adam of Claremont, California along with his son, Mike Adam (wife Nancy Adam), his daughter, Dee Yamauchi (husband Nord Yamauchi), and sister, Virginia Buckman of Palmyra, Missouri. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, along with many nephews and nieces.
Al was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Albert and Katherine Adam. After attending Holy Rosary High School, he moved to California where he joined the United States Navy as a firefighter instructor in San Pedro, California. Upon discharge from the Navy in 1945, he was employed by Standard Oil and later moved to Upland, California where he ran his business as Al Adam Chevron in Claremont for 25 years.
In his retirement he spent time volunteering with the Friends of the Ontario Airport and the San Antonio Heights Citizens Patrol. Al enjoyed playing golf for many years, loved gardening, and traveling all over the world

A Celebration of Life will be held at Draper Mortuary, 811 N. Mountain Avenue, Ontario, California 91762 on Saturday February 4, 2017 from 1:00-3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org
