

In his own words “he was a rascal of a boy”, and probably would not have lived to manhood if he could have only afforded to do the things he really wanted to do.
Serving our country in the US Navy in World War II, he was honorable discharged as Third Class V6 USNR SV. Mr. Sorrell was owner/operator of Star Café Restaurant in Memphis, Tennessee, also employed at Loebs and Memphis steam laundry. He moved to California where he lived for many years and raised his family. He was employed as a dairyman.
He very much enjoyed church, family,friends and golf. At 99% blind he still played golf with friends who would simply tell him about where the flag was.
He was a member of Whitten Memorial Baptist church in Memphis, Tennessee.
Aubrey Howard Sorrell married Mildred Katherine McClain in 1986.
Mr. Sorrell leaves his daughter Barbara Herbert and his sister Sylvia Ard, three “acquired” grown children from second marriage. He was blessed with seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren all of California.
Mr. Sorrell has gone now to be with his deceased wife Louise Sorrell and second wife Mildred sorrel and his daughter Betty Brown.
