

BG Bolden was born April 27, 1921 in Garland Arkansas to Abe and Lillie Bolden. He was the sixth child of twelve siblings. At an early age, BG was employed by his father Abe Bolden as a farm hand general. Later he became a rigger for the U.S. Army, performing all types of labor on military construction; moving heavy equipment, using cranes, gin poles, and chain blocks. After serving in the Army, he moved to Los Angeles, CA where he married Dorothy Lacy-Bolden. To this union the couple had four children: Marvette, Delbert, Phineas, and Nannette who he preceded in death. BG also had two older children James and Helen Bolden who he also precedes in death.
On July 28, 2013 BG departed this life to be with the Lord. He leaves to cherish his memory one brother Robert Bolden from Arkansas, his children, son James Bolden from Long Island, NY, daughter Marvette Oston from Los Angeles, CA, son Delbert Bolden and wife Lorrette Bolden from Victorville, CA, and daughter Phineas Bolden from Salton City, CA, whom cared for BG until his passing, 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
