Charles John Balber

Charles John Balber, age 63, of Upland, California, passed away on October 13, 2023 at San Antonio Hospital, the same hospital of his birth. Charlie was born on October 18, 1959 to Harrold and Elodia Balber in Upland, California. He is survived by his wife Jody Balber and three step-children, Kenny, Joshua and Shannon. Charlie loved them with all his heart. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who dedicated many years of his life to providing and caring for his family. He is also survived by his three beautiful sisters Stella, Joanne and Marlene, as well as his brother David Balber, who Charlie looked up to.

Charlie had eleven grandchildren; Hannah, Mateo, Marco, Maxx, Aristotle, Achilles, Angelina, Alyssa, Joshua, Samantha and Baby Sophia. Of all the grandchildren, there was one that he favored most. This was his “Pumpkin”. He had a special love for Hannah, and Hannah had a special love for him. Together they were a force to reckon with, a dynamic duo, the “A Team”. They had a very special bond. Hannah was a light in his world. They adored each other. Hannah was the only one that he would cater to. “Get me donuts Papa!” He would jump in the truck and go.

Charlie retired from the I.B.E.W Local 477 Electrical Union after 30 years of service. We all love and miss him. We are looking forward to meeting him again in the kingdom of heaven.
