Cora "Lola" Marie Spriggs

Corazon Marie Flores was born on September 10, 1941 to Natividad Riggs (née Flores). She was raised by her grandparents in Lubao, Pampanga, Philippines until she emigrated to the United States at the age of 16 to live with her mother and step-father.

She went to cosmetology school and became a gifted hair-dresser. She married Hossein Djafroodi and had two children. She is survived by her devoted son Eric and loving daughter Sheila. Hossein remarried and had daughter Sherene, whom remained kindred to Cora throughout her life. Cora remarried to John Spriggs. Eric and his wife, devoted daughter-in-law Terri, gave her 3 beautiful granddaughters, Marissa, Sarah, and Erica. Sheila and her husband Matt gave her 3 handsome grandsons, Jake, Marshall and Lincoln. Sherene shared children Coral, Nureen, Tristan and Zayda. Sarah and husband Josh gave her great-granddaughter Juliana and great-grandson Ari. Erica and husband George shared grand-pups JPEG and Rufio.

Cora worked 55+ years as a stylist and spent the last near 20 of those working at the Upland Rehabilitation and Care Center, making women feel beautiful and seen in their last stage of life.

Cora will be remembered for her kindness, timeless elegance and beauty, her love and devotion to her family, the way she maintained friendships, the beauty of the massive garden surrounding her home that she cultivated and tended to, her unique spirit and zest for a simple beautiful life marked by the love of her family and the beauty of her surroundings. She worked persistently at the things she loved, and nestled peacefully into the soft simple joys she relished every single day. She steadfastly held on to the hem of Jesus, with faith and gratitude, until she ultimately joined Him in Paradise on September 6th, 2025.

The Celebration of Her Life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025 at 11am in the chapel venue at Water of Life Community Church
