

A funeral service for Don will be held Friday, September 19, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Draper Mortuary, 811 North Mountain Ave, Ontario, CA 91762.
Don Alvin Draper was the third child and only boy born to Luvenia and Augusta Draper on April 28, 1957. He grew up in a loving family home. He was a member of the Boy Scouts and enjoyed playing outside with the neighborhood kids. At an early age, Don accepted Christ and was baptized at Paradise Baptist Church in Los Angeles. Don attended and graduated from Manchester Avenue Elementary School in 1969, Mary M. Bethune Jr. High School in 1971 and John C. Fremont High School in 1974.
After working several different jobs, Don began his career at the United States Postal Service on January 13, 1979, as a LSM Clerk. He was a diligent and dependable employee. Don retired as General Expeditor on January 31, 2013, after 34 years of service.
Don never married or had children but lead a fulfilling life. He dabbled in music, singing, playing keyboards and guitar. Don enjoyed attending family gatherings as well as taking helicopter rides, going on cruises, skiing and attending games for his favorite sports teams: Lakers, Raiders and Dodgers or watching them on TV.
The Lord called him home on August 18, 2025. Don is reunited with his parents, Luvenia and Augusta; sisters Jeanette Moore and Augusta L. McChristion; and brother Coley Knight.
Love ones who will cherish his memory: and god-daughter Shalycia West sister Darlene Gills; *brother* Greg Draper and wife Brenda; nieces Sheria Gills and Dana McChristion; nephews James Moore and wife Shelby, Devin Gee and wife Crystal and Lawrence Gills III and wife Erika; great-nieces Kayla Riley and husband Malcolm, Camryn Gee, Sanai Leopold, Cadyn Gee, Ema Gills, Cailyn Gee and Sarai Stevenson; great-nephews Kevin Moore, Devin Gee Jr., Jordan McChristion, Semajh Harrison and Jeremiah Gills; great, great-niece Janae Riley and other relatives and friends.
