Donald Lee Mowery Sr.

With love and remembrance, we pay tribute to a remarkable man, husband, father, and friend who was adored by many. Donald "Don" Lee Mowery Sr., of Upland, California, passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on Monday, February 10, 2025.

Born in 1930 in Youngstown, Ohio, Don was a proud graduate of The Ohio State University. He honorably served in the U.S. Navy before embarking on a fulfilling career as a pharmacist, dedicating over 52 years to his profession.

Don was an active and devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church of Upland, where he found great joy in the beautiful organ music that filled the sanctuary. Known for his quick wit and warm sense of humor, he had a unique ability to bring laughter and light-heartedness to those around him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Geraldine E. Mowery; his children, Cynthia L. Vykouk, Donald L. Mowery II, and Melissa L. Germanos; his daughter-in-law, Karleen R. Mowery; and his son-in-law, Antoine I. Germano. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, McKenzie S. Robles-Mowery, Kole R. Mowery, and Kendall E. Mowery, as well as his great-grandchildren, Carter T. Emery and Leighla N. Emery.

A visitation for Don will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Draper Mortuary, 811 North Mountain Ave, Ontario, CA 91762.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church of Upland, 869 N Euclid Ave., Upland, CA 91786.

Don’s kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family and community will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts.
