Feofaaki’s life was rooted in faith. A God-fearing woman in the truest sense, she placed God at the center of her days and her decisions, and she carried that devotion into the life she built with those she loved. Her words, “Pray for everything,” remain a steady testimony to what she valued most and how she met life with reverence and trust.
She was very proud of her role as a pastor’s wife, and she supported church life with quiet strength and steadfast presence. Through her involvement in Church activities, she helped sustain a community shaped by worship, service, and Christian Church music—the genre she loved most and that so often reflects the spirit of devotion she lived by.
Feofaaki met her husband, Siale Wailase, while carpooling with her roommate and boyfriend at the time. From that beginning grew a family she held with deep pride and gratitude, cherishing the bonds that connected generations.
Her hands were rarely still. Sewing was her special talent, and she loved to sew and knit—crafts that speak of patience, care, and the simple dignity of creating something lasting. She also loved to be in her garden, finding peace and purpose in tending what would grow. She enjoyed seafood as a favorite meal and fruits as a favorite snack, small comforts that added warmth to everyday life.
Feofaaki was preceded in death by Taniela Samate (father), Finau Tukuafu (mother), Sione Samate (brother), and Hala'ovava Tuaputa (sister).
She is survived by Siale Wailase (husband); Mataiasi Wailase and Hale Faha'ivalu (sons); Feofaaki Fakaongo and Tiffany Wabol and Malia Wailase and Salote Wailase-Fonua and Priscilla Wailase (daughters); 18 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Her legacy is one of faith held close, family cherished, and a life lived with devotion—an enduring reminder to pray, to serve, and to love with constancy.
