in the Army Air Corp during World War II and traveled to West Germany where he met
his future bride Margarete Seeser. In 1949 they married and traveled to the U.S. where
they settled in Wisconsin, then Iowa, and lastly California where they raised 5 children.
Gerald worked various careers during his life and retired from Cal Tech as an electronic
technician. He liked to spend his time in his later years working with wood, jigsaw puzzles,
and reading. Gerald is survived by his wife Margarete, by his children Jerry, Barbara, Mary,
Doug and Mark, by his grandchildren Melinda, Mitchell, Ian, and Jordan and
great grandchild Aiden.
